The Posse Foundation launched its veterans initiative in 2012 in an effort to increase the rates at which veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces attend and graduate from selective colleges and universities.
What is the Posse Veterans Program? Cohorts – Posses – of 10 veterans attend top colleges together to pursue bachelor’s degrees.
Comprehensive training from Posse prepares veterans for the college experience and support continues on campus through graduation.
Posse offers internship opportunities, career coaching and connects Veterans Posse Scholars to a large professional network so they are ready to take on leadership positions in the workforce.
Nominations for the Fall 2019 application process are currently being accepted. This year, they will select four cohorts – Posses – of 10 veterans each, for admission to Vassar College, Wesleyan University, Dartmouth College, and The University of Virginia for the fall of 2019. They are currently in the outreach phase of recruitment and official interviews will begin in the fall of 2018.
