A Lifetime of Service Awards Ceremony

City & State will publish the fourth annual print & digital publication dedicated to NY’s veterans and active service members. This special publication will feature the profiles of 5 outstanding Veterans & Military service members, who have bravely served our country and continue to serve New York, and will be honored at their awards breakfast on July 11, 9am – 12pm.

9:55am – How NY is Helping Its Veterans. Moderated by Grace Segers, City & State Web Reporter, with Joel Evans, NYS Division of Veterans’ Affairs; State Senator Joseph Addabbo, Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs; Assemblymember Michael DenDekker, Committee on Veterans' Affairs; Councilman Chaim Deutsch, Committee on Veterans.

10:35am – Meeting SDVOB Goals. Moderated by Joe Bello, NYC Veterans Advisory Board, with Ken Williams, Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development; Christopher Bennett, MTA Bridges and Tunnels; Anthony Peterson, Battery Park City Authority; Jahmeliah Nathan, Governor's Office of Storm Recovery.

11:20am – Awards Presentation to Veterans Still Serving New York: Judge Lucian A. Vecchio, Administrative Law Judge; Dennis Enrique Torres, Queens College; Michael Abrams, Four Block & Columbia University Center for Veteran Transition and Immigration; James William Hendon, NYU Veterans Future Lab.
