Almost Sunrise Fordham Veterans Screening

Fordham Veterans Association hosts a screening of Almost Sunrise on November 3, 5:30-9pm. The event is free and open to all interested (no affiliation to Fordham University necessary). Coffee, tea, and soda will be served.

Register here.

The event will host filmmaker Michael Collins and Iraq veteran Tom Voss, as well as Leslye Moore, the National Director of Welcome Home Troops (and also featured in the film). Following the screening, there is a panel discussion with Michael, Tom, Leslye, and Fordham student veterans to address topics such as moral injury, post-traumatic stress, and military-to-civilian transition.

Almost Sunrise is the first film to introduce the emerging term “moral injury," sparking a national conversation, connecting communities, spotlighting alternative modalities for healing, offering hopeful solutions for PTSD, moral injury, and breaking the stigma around mental health.
