Free Legal Services

The Bronx Vet Center is proud to be able to work with the Veteran Advocacy Project/Urban Justice Center to bring bi-monthly legal assistance services to veterans, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, 3-5pm.

If you have legal problems with any of these issues, they may be able to help:

Housing: eviction prevention; NYCHA hearings; housing court

Health Care: Medicaid; VA Healthcare; access to treatment and mental health services

Income: fair hearings (food stamps & public assistance); VA claims; discharge upgrades

Services are open to any veteran and any discharge status. Veterans do not need to be registered or eligible for VA healthcare to get assistance however they should bring a copy of their DD214 or other official documents/ID as proof of service.
