NewVenture Veterans Entrepreneurship Program

The NYC Department of Small Business Services offers the NewVenture Veterans Entrepreneurship Program, with the next course beginning February 1. This free, 10-session course helps veterans apply skills they developed in the military to building a business concept and launching a successful and profitable enterprise. Entrepreneurs who served at least one day in the active military, naval, or air service – including the Reserves and National Guard – can participate. In this course, veterans will: Learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship; Refine a business concept and develop a strong business plan; Evaluate financing options; Market their products or services; Discover how to navigate government processes/access resources and incentives available exclusively to veteran entrepreneurs.
