Tuesday, November 3:

TED Talks Live - War & Peace with Sebastian Junger, Adam Driver, Hector Garcia, and Simon Sinek

Wednesday, November 4:

U.S. Small Business Administration: Veterans Business Resources Day

12:00 PM, Manhattan. Free workshops and meetings to help veteran entrepreneurs.

Fall Hangout: The Mission Continues & Wounded Warrior Project

7:00 PM, Brooklyn. Networking and planning for upcoming service project and Veterans Day.

Legal Services NYC: 2015 Veterans Justice Symposium

9:30 AM, Robin Hood Initiative, Manhattan. Guests will include Eric Ulrich, Chair of the NYC Council Committee on Veterans.

Friday, November 6:

NY Military Affairs Symposium: Battle of Britain

7:00 PM, Soldiers' Sailors' Club, Manhattan. Free talk on a crucial WWII event.

Saturday, November 7:

Annual Bronx Veterans Day Parade in West Farms

9:00 AM, Bronx. A one-mile route celebrating Bronx veterans.

Sunday, November 8:

St. Patrick's Cathedral: Veterans Church Service

9:45 AM, Manhattan. Includes a color guard and special focus on veterans, service members, and their families.

The Mission Continues: Brooklyn War Memorial Restoration

10:00 AM, Downtown Brooklyn. All veterans are invited to join in a service project to restore Brooklyn's War Memorial.

Queens Veterans Day Parade

12:00 PM, Queens. The Queens parade takes place in Middle Village.

31st Annual Throggs Neck Veterans Day Parade

12:00 PM, Bronx. The Bronx's largest Veterans Day parade continues in its 31st year.

Montford Point Marine Association Dinner Dance

4:00 PM, Queens. Annual celebration of organization commemorating the first African-American Marines.

Monday, November 9:

New York Historical Society: "Debt of Honor" Film Screening

6:00 PM, Manhattan. Filmmaker Ric Burns, veteran J.R. Martinez, and other distinguished guests will be present for a free screening and panel discussion of the film "Debt of Honor: A History of Disabled Veterans in America."

9/11 Tribute Center: Stories From the Front

6:30 PM, Manhattan. The NYU Veterans Writing Workshop brings writers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan to the 9/11 Tribute Center for a special evening of reading and reflection.

Brooklyn Historical Society: "Cry 'Havoc'!"

6:30 PM, Brooklyn. Shakespeare-inspired one-man play, written and performed by a veteran.

Chelsea Film Festival: PTSD Film Screening

7:00 PM, Manhattan. Award-winning film about PTSD.

AITAF on Broadway: Lobby Hero - Hosted by Adam Driver

8:00 PM, Studio 54, Manhattan. Marine veteran Adam Driver leads an all-star cast in a staged reading of Kenneth Lonergan's "Lobby Hero."

Veterans Rally at City Hall

11:00 AM, Manhattan. Rally with us to celebrate the historic bill 314, creating an independent Department of Veterans Services for NYC!

Queens College Veterans Day Lunch

11:00 AM, Queens. Council Member Rory Lancman hosts a lunch for veterans and students.

New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs: Community Conversations

1:30 PM, John Jay College, Manhattan. NY State representatives engage veterans about recent legislation and initiatives.

KGB True Story: Words After War with Matt Gallagher and Jen Percy

7:00 PM, KGB Bar, Manhattan. Two authors read and discuss their recent reflections on war and conflict.

9th Annual Stand Up for Heroes

Veterans Village Street Fair

10:00 AM, Manhattan. All-day street fair with food, artists, information, and resources for veterans.

VFW Annual Veterans Day Commemoration

10:30 AM, WWI Memorial, Staten Island.

Veteran Entrepreneur Town Hall Webinar

2:00 PM, Online Webinar.  Dun & Bradstreet, Vets GSA, and the Veteran Success Resource Group (VSRG) host a live webinar for veteran entrepreneurs.

Veterans Unity Reception

4:00 PM, Gateway Art Center, Manhattan. Post-parade reception featuring performances, veteran artists, and networking among NYC's many veteran organizations. The NYC Veterans Alliance is asking members to volunteer to help produce this event!

Roundabout Theatre Company Presents "Ugly Lies the Bone"

6:30 PM, Manhattan. Special Veterans Day performance of critically-acclaimed play depicting the return of a woman veteran from Afghanistan. Free for veterans.

NYC Council Hearing on Veteran Homelessness

1:30 PM, Manhattan. The NYC Council will hold a hearing on oversight of the city's efforts to end veterans' homelessness by the end of 2015. Hearing is open to the public.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Presents Vijay Iyer — Holding It Down: The Veterans’ Dreams Project
