Enjoy this walking tour on October 29, 10-11:30am. As an extension of the lecture on Pelham Bay Park during World War I given in August 2017, the walking tour explores the environs of the World War I Naval Training Station, now on present-day Rodman Neck. Since visiting the original site is prohibited to the public, educator Vivian Davis will guide visitors around the southern end of the park, describing how it looked one hundred years ago. This walking tour is part of The Bronx during World War I Centennial series. The tour will meet at the Pelham Bay Park station, the last stop of the 6 train.
Tours cost $10 for BCHS members, $20 for non-members. Contact The Society at 718-881-8900 to reserve your spot.
