The New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs and the New York State Office for the Aging offer a special forum about services for older veterans and their family members on July 17, 1:30pm. Executives from both agencies will discuss available benefits, programs, and services for veterans and their families on Long Island. The program will feature presentations by Nassau-Suffolk Legal Services, the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Project, the Center for Independent Living, the Veterans Service Agencies and Offices for the Aging from both Nassau and Suffolk Counties and more. Admission is free.
Following the presentation, representatives from each agency will remain on site to answer questions and meet with attendees individually.
Every attendee will receive $20 in Fresh Connect checks to redeem for fresh produce at any farmer's market in New York State.
