Metropolitan Museum of Art Presents Vijay Iyer — Holding It Down: The Veterans’ Dreams Project

Thomas P. Campbell (Director), Daniel H. Weiss (President) and The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Multicultural Audience Development Initiative cordially invite you to celebrate Veterans Day with a reception and two tickets to:

Vijay Iyer — Holding It Down: The Veterans’ Dreams Project

A compelling multimedia work of voice, video, and music, Holding It Down is mined straight from the words of minority veterans of the post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Vijay Iyer is the Met’s 2015–2016 Artist in Residence. Holding It Down: The Veterans’ Dreams Project is made possible by Beth and Leonard Wilf. It was commissioned by Harlem Stage through its WaterWorks program.

The reception begins at 6pm in the Balcony Lounge and the performance begins at 7:30pm in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium. Dress is business attire. Reserve your two complimentary tickets by November 6 by emailing audience.development@metmuseum.org or calling 212-650-2525.

Please use the Museum’s Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 82nd Street, or the Parking Garage Entrance.
