Woodland Cemetery: Residents Renewing Newark Initiative

Veterans rally on April 24, 8pm, to protest 40 years of disrepair at Woodland Cemetary in Newark, NJ. Woodland Cemetery is 37 acres and has been the place of rest for over 600 veterans representing every major war in American history. The current condition of the cemetery is so bad, loved ones cannot enter the cemetery to even attempt to locate love ones and this meeting is designed to change that.

Supporters should meet at Raritan Yacht Club at 8pm or take the bus that departs Woodland Cemetery at the intersection of Bergen and Rose Street in Newark at 6:30pm.

Contact Karima Jackson (862-234-0373) or Alim Jackson (646-784-6152) for more information about this initiative.
