WWII Vets Share Your Stories

Attention World War II Veterans –– did you go to college on the G.I. Bill in 1946, 1947, or 1948? Would you be willing to share your college stories with a bestselling author?

Writer and reporter Paul Tough, whose work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, GQ magazine, and The New Yorker, is writing a book on higher education and the opportunities it can create for young people, and he is eager to speak with WWII veterans about their college experiences. The passage of the G.I. Bill produced one of the largest spikes in university enrollment in American history –– if you were part of it and you'd be willing to share your story, please contact Paul's research assistant, Tarpley Hitt, by email at ahitt@college.harvard.edu or by telephone at 203-974-3518
