Researchers are conducting a study to better understand brain structure and mental health in Veterans with BIPOLAR DISORDER

• Transportation may be provided
• There is no cost to participate
• Receive up to $825 for your time

What is involved?
Attending visits at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC

First Visit:
Diagnostic/clinical assessments, questionnaires, MRI scan, and blood draw

6 Month Follow-Up Visit:
Review of clinical assessments

12 Month Follow-up Visit:
Review of clinical assessments

Eligibility:
Military Veterans between the ages of 18 to 65 may be eligible to participate if they have ever experienced any of the following:

  • Significant shifts in mood
  • Rapid speech
  • Racing thoughts
  • Increased energy or irritability
  • Decreased need for sleep
  • Impulsive behavior
