Healthy Veterans Needed for a Research Study at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY.

We are conducting a research study to understand brain structure and mental health in Veterans at risk of suicide.

Healthy Veterans are needed as a comparison group in this research study.

What is involved?

Attending visits at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC First Visit: Mental health assessments, questionnaires, non-invasive (MRI) brain scan, and blood draw
6- and 12-Month Follow-Up:

  • Review of mental health assessments
  • No cost to participate
  • Transportation may be provided

U.S. Military Veterans between the ages of 18 to 65 may be eligible to participate if they do not have major medical or mental health
disorders.
