Community Training & Employment Resources offers an orientation session for their 2-day workshop beginning May 23, 10am-2:30pm.
The program is designed to teach veterans, members of the National Guard and Reserve, and military family members from the New York area the practical job search skills that will enable them to make a successful transition from the military to the civilian workforce. It's a condensed short-term training program that consists of an orientation session, employers expectation, skills identification and presentation, resume and cover letter development, personal branding, interview practice, and creating and posting a LinkedIn profile that gets noticed by employers.
Workshop sessions follow the orientation on May 24 - 25. Ongoing telephone, e-mail and referral assistance will be provided as needed.
