Sierra Club Backpacking from NYC

Sierra Club Military Outdoors offers their first monthly outing of the year in the Backpacking from NYC series with a hike through Harriman State Park on July 26-28.

During this outing, explore Harriman State Park from the Tuxedo stop off the Metro-North Port Jervis line. The purpose of this outing is to become comfortable with accessing Harriman State Park from NYC using public transportation, learning how to
safely explore the wilderness for three days while carrying everything you need to stay comfortable on your back, and to make new friends. Perfect for beginners and experienced backpackers, you don’t have to be a veteran to apply. A full outing description with packing list will be provided upon your selection to attend. Backpacking gear is available for loan at no cost, food is provided.

Space is limited. Contact Aaron Leonard at [email protected] to register.
