Sierra Club National Public Lands Day

Join the Sierra Club Military Outdoors, The Mission Continues, National Parks Conservation Association, and their partners on September 28, 9:30am-4pm, for National Public Lands Day on the Appalachian Trail.

Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort. It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and general health.

All volunteers must be 16 years or older and in good physical condition. This event is not ADA accessible.

Wear sturdy boots & long pants. Bring water, snacks, rain gear, 30% DEET repellent & sun protection. Wear or pack layers. Breakfast & lunch is provided.
