Veterans Day at New-York Historical Society

Honor the men and women who've served in the Armed Forces with a long weekend's worth of fascinating and moving programs for visitors of all ages at New-York Historical Society.

Veterans and their families get free admission to the Museum November 9-11, 2019.

Leave a note for the veterans! Sticky notes and pencils are available for visitors to write messages of appreciation and leave displayed on the glass entrance. No Museum admission required to leave a note. 

NOVEMBER 9

Voices From War Performance 
2-4 pm

Hear from veterans who share their stories of trauma and homecoming, and then talk to them and ask questions about their experiences.  

Living History: Soldiers of the American Revolution
11am–4pm  
1st Floor of the Museum  
Meet reenactors from the 3rd New Jersey Regiment and hear about life on and off the battlefield. All ages

Hero Mom at Sunday Story Time

A special Sunday Story Time for Veterans Day Weekend: Read all about mothers in the military and how their kids cope with deployment. Ages 3-7

Living History: Soldiers of the American Revolution

Celebrate America's military heritage and hear from reenactors about serving during the Revolution. Also: Experience a theatrical event about Deborah Sampson (played by Judith Kalaora), the real-life woman who disguised her gender and fought with distinction. All ages
