Mission 22 offers a rock-climbing and mental training program for combat veterans and their families April 24-25.
You don't have to be a rock climber. If fact, it's probably better if you aren't. Join them for this free course to access and honor your Warrior spirit again so you can reconnect with your family and community, restore trust and feel supported again.
The Mission 22/Warrior’s Way partnership program is a unique opportunity for Veterans to come together, heal, and have fun. Participants in the program surprise themselves with what they accomplish; from making it to the top of a route, to conquering a fear of falling. They also connect the lessons learned through climbing to everyday life and to living with post-traumatic symptoms. Prior participants have reported leaving with a strong sense of community, which is one of the biggest protective factors for overcoming traumatic stress.
Day one: April 24, 8am-6pm, at The Gravity Vault rock climbing gym at 1423 Clinton St, Hoboken, NJ.
Day two: April 25, 8am-6pm, Shawangunk Mountains near New Paltz, NY.
