Workforce1 helps New Yorkers prepare for, and connect to, jobs across New York City's five boroughs and in every sector of the economy. The Bronx (Fordham Rd), West Farms, and Hunts Point Workforce Career Centers are currently closed, but they offer Virtual Services to help job seekers during this time. All of their services are no-cost and do not require in-person visits.

Through Bronx's Virtual Workforce1 Career Center system, they can connect candidates via web or phone to one-on-one help from professionals who can help them with Job Opportunities, Individual Career Advisement, and Resume & Interview Preparation.

All services are no-cost and do not require in-person visits. Candidates can click here and Bronx Workforce1 will follow up with them. For services over the phone, call 718-960-2458 and dial Option 2.

Virtual Workshops

Workforce1 is currently offering Virtual Workshops and one-on-one counseling to help develop skills that will get the job you want:
 
Virtual Interview Workshop - This workshop will identify what employers are looking for during an interview and allow participants to practice responses to commonly asked interview questions.
 
Virtual Create a Resume Workshop - This workshop provides a detailed explanation, as well step-by-step processes, for creating an effective résumé.
 
Virtual Resume Upgrade Workshop - This workshop provides a detailed explanation, as well step-by-step processes, for updating and upgrading your resume.

Criminal Justice System

Individuals who have been engaged with the Criminal Justice System can access tailored services at the Bronx and Brooklyn Workforce1 Career Centers. Career advisement and preparation workshops guide candidates to succeed beyond barriers to work that are common for individuals with a criminal justice history. Employment Works Jobseeker Services include:

  • Answering the Conviction Question
  • The Successful Job Interview

Veterans Services

Workforce1 is committed to connecting NYC Veterans to stable, meaningful employment! If you have candidates that have served at least one day in the active military, naval, or air service, including the Reserves and National Guard, they (and their spouse) are eligible for priority of service. The team will work to help them translate their military experience to skills for civilian jobs, and connect them with employers who have an interest in veterans. Community events on ourveterans.nyc is a free service managed through Pathfinder Labs, Inc., a NYC-based service-disabled veteran-owned and woman-owned small business. Events are posted within one business day of receiving complete details from a provider, program, or organization.
