The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center recruits qualified candidates for positions within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre industrial park housing over 400 businesses within the manufacturing, food, media, technology, and creative fields. Veterans are welcome to apply.
Positions are available:
CNC MACHINIST - Multiple Yard-based businesses seeking experienced CNC operators. Responsible for programming and operation of CNC heavy machinery to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials.
DRIVER - Candidates should have experience driving box trucks between 12-26ft, familiarity with NYC, and a current NYS drivers license.
PARALEGAL - A film and television production facility seeks a full-time Paralegal. Excellent communication skills required. Minimum of three to five years' experience. Background in real estate preferred.
FULFILLMENT CENTER MANAGER - A luxury furniture rental company is seeking a Fulfillment Center Manager with 3 to 5 years experience and an ability to lift/move heavy furniture with help from dollies, hand-trucks, etc. Responsible for designing inventory systems that maximize efficiency and keep furniture intact.
METALWORKER - A Yard-based fabrication and design company is seeking a metalworker proficient in all welding applications with an emphasis on TIG welding of steel, aluminum, bronze, etc. Required proficiency in cutting, drilling, grinding, and abrading. Experience with custom finishing a plus.
PART-TIME SECURITY OFFICER - 300-acre industrial park and business district is looking to hire part-time security guards. Position requires the following: 8-hour security certification, 16-hour security certification, security license, and a driver's license. Must have excellent customer service skills.
PAYROLL SPECIALIST - Responsible for processing payroll and interfacing with clients. Must have at least five years of payroll experience and a strong aptitude for math. Previous customer service experience is required.
FINANCE INTERN - Full-time undergraduate student or new graduate; preferences are generally given to rising Juniors or Seniors with a primary career interest in Finance. Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills including understanding of key formulas including VLOOKUP, SUMIF(S).
