The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) offers three- to five-week fully-funded residencies for U.S. military veteran artists.
The VCCA provides time and space for national and international writers, visual artists, and composers of talent and promise to bring forth their finest works, because the arts are vital, diversity is a strength, and creativity is essential.
The VCCA residency at Mt. San Angelo includes a private bedroom with private bath, a separate individual studio, and meals in a community of cross-disciplinary artists. Each veteran artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium for travel and/or supplies.
Residencies Available: July 1 – September 30, 2021
Length of Fellowship: Three to five weeks
The application is open to U.S. military veteran writers, visual artists, and composers.
Apply by January 15, 2021. Recipients will be notified by March 31, 2021.
