The Invasion features three distinct tracks, offering critical content to veterans and veteran spouses who are looking for an onramp into great careers in technology: Education + Employment + Entrepreneurship.
- The Honorable Denis Richard McDonough, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, appointed by President Biden in February 2021. He also served as Chief of Staff under former President Obama.
- Michèle Flournoy, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of WestExec Advisors. Previously, Michèle served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy under the Obama administration. She was the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense.
- Steve Blank, Adjunct Professor at Stanford University. Steve developed the customer development methodology that spawned the Lean Startup movement.
- Craig Newmark, founder of craigslist and Craig Newmark Philanthropies, VetsinTech Board member, and a leading advocate for veterans and military families.
The Invasion merges two worlds of military and technology.
- Veterans and veteran spouses from around the country, in various levels of transition out of their military careers, will convene to receive opportunities for education, employment, and entrepreneurship in the tech industry.
- Technology Leaders, Investors, HR & Recruiters, Engineers, and others representing a wide variety of industries with a high-tech focus and communities, will deliver content and lead workshops covering topics for our veterans and their spouses.
