Public Safety Peace Officer Opportunity

The Parkchester Department of Public Safety is seeking qualified candidates to fill the positions of Public Safety Peace Officers.  The prospective salary for this position is approximately $74,000 after 5 years.  Benefits include life insurance, medical coverage, vision plan, dental package and annuity retirement plan. Work schedule varies (40 hours per week).

Qualifications/Requirements:

HS Diploma/or GED

Valid NYS Driver's License (no restrictions or serious traffic violations)

Prior law enforcement/security experience is preferred but not required

Must be the age of 21 or over

Must reside within NYC's 5 boroughs

Extensive background check by NYPD conducted (passing check is required to obtain Public Safety Peace Officer status)

Must have a valid NYS 8- and 16-Hour Security Guard License

Must be able to complete eight-week physical training in an academy

 

Preferred Skills

Military experience preferred

College degree preferred
