Veteran Research Participants Needed - Your Opinions on Access to Mental Health Care

Weill Cornell Program for Anxiety & Traumatic Stress Studies (PATSS), New York Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center, and the Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RF CUNY) are conducting a research study on opinions of veteran mental health care.  The goal of this study is to learn from the opinioins of veterans in NYC on topics of military mental health, access to care, both positive and negative experiences, stigma, and other military mental health-related issues to help improve thier outreach and public education at New York Presbyterian's Military Family Wellness Center through its community partnerships.

The study, "Improving Linkage to Evidence-based Care for Underserved Veteran Populations Through Community Partnerships," consists of a single 30-45 minute interview conducted over Zoom candidly speaking with veterans about their experiences and opinions on the topics mentioned above.  Active Duty servicemembers and Veterans of all service eras and backgrounds are eligible to participate, as well as immediate military/veteran family members and/or caregivers. 

Participants must reside in NYC area and be able to connect via Zoom on a computer.  Those who complete the interview process will receive a $50 Amazon gift card in compensation for their time of participation.  If you are interested in participating, please email the study investigator, Matt Ryba, at [email protected] to schedule an interview.  This study period closes May 31, 2021.  There are currently 18 interview spots left.
