Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (ConEdison) is seeking candidates for Customer Service Representative positions.  This is a part-time position that is not available on the ConEdison career website but is open to veterans.  This position is located at the Customer Operations Call Center at 30 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn.

Candidates must:

have a high school diploma or GED

be proficient in English

be able to respond to direction and work as a member of a team, using PC-based information systems in order to retrieve information to analyze customer accounts

have the ability to interact with customers over the phone, as well as other avenues of contact, in a responsive, productive, and professional manner

provide outstanding service in every customer encounter and be an effective communicator

Physical demands of the job:

Candidates must:

sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift

sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift

have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift

stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
