Workforce 1 is offering FREE Site Safety Training!
As a requirement of NYC Local Law 196, on March 1st 2021 workers at most major construction sites MUST show that they have completed a Site Safety Training (SST) course within the previous five years.
Workforce1 is prepared to help you obtain that training FREE OF CHARGE. Their virtual training will satisfy the requirement for general and specialized electives needed to obtain a worker SST card provided by Small Business Services. Workers must complete a total of 40 hours of training as of March 1st, 2021 in order to qualify for a SST Card. The most convenient way for a worker to receive a combined 40 hours of training is to complete a 30 Hour OSHA training program, an 8 Hour Fall Prevention Course, and a 2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course. If you do not have 30 Hour OSHA Workforce will provide the equivalent to ensure that you meet the NYC Site Safety Training standards and be prepared for the current job market when asked to present this certification. If you already have valid proof of your OSHA 30, you’re eligible to take the 10 hour Site Safety Training portion FREE OF CHARGE.
Who needs training?
Local Law 196 of 2017requires that construction and demolition workers on job sites with a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator, or Site Safety Manager must have 40 hours of Site Training as of March 1st, 2021
Who does not need training?

While licensees do not need to be trained, employees working under their direct and continuing supervision must be trained and all worksites that choose to have SST as a requirement for employment.
