The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office is seeking Correction Officers.  Candidates must take the Suffolk County Civil Service Exam offered on Friday, November, 12, 2021.  The last date to file for the exam is Wednesday, September 29, 2021.  The exam is free for volunteer firefighters and veterans.  This position offers job credit for military time.  New York State Pension after 25 years, regardless of age.

Starting salary: $42,073

After 3 years: $60,7813

After 7 years: $90, 402

After 12 years: $124,478
