ACC Supply Chain Coordinator Position

Animal Care Centers (ACC) of NYC is seeking a dedicated and reliable Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) to support the vet services and operations teams with management and monitoring of inventory.  Reporting to the Sr. Administrator – Veterinary & Inventory Operations the SCC will be responsible for, but not limited to placing orders, storing, organizing, packing, tracking, receiving, loading and delivering supplies to any of our locations in the 5 boroughs.  They will be accountable for the completion of inventory reconciliation and counts, entering/transferring/adjusting inventory in the accounting database (NetSuite). The SCC will oversee monthly quality assurance checks to comply with our internal inventory management policy, and will collaborate with the Purchasing Coordinator to review issues and discrepancies while reconciling physical inventory balances with data reflected in NetSuite.  This is a full-time position.


Oversight of expiration dates and removal

Maintain over-stock consumable medical and pharmaceutical supplies organized, labeled and locked in designated area at each care center

Ensure that items frequently used are kept in a clean and organized location

Create and Inventory map for all locations

Assist with dotting incoming inventory with expiration dates and inventory tags

Assist with annual inventory counts at each location, at the end of our June fiscal year 

Unpack, organize and distribute purchases and donated items from HQ to the care centers

Oversee receipt of deliveries and the proper storage of items

Contact vendors and follow up to resolve issues with backorders or missing deliveries 

Transport inventory between care center locations in the five boroughs and record transfers in NetSuite with accuracy

Complete emergency local transports on an as need and as available basis

Map out the most optimal routes for each trip to maximize efficiency

Ensure maximum space utilization and needs for better organization

Be responsible for quality assurance and monthly audits at the care centers. Infractions will be recorded in a monthly log.

Provide support to shelter staff with placing orders, receiving, tagging, and dotting items 

Step in as the main backup person for inventory related responsibilities when shelter employees are out of the office.

Record inventory transactions initiated at the care centers into NetSuite and maintain inventory item profiles updated in the system

Maintain accurate inventory item profiles with updated units of measures, vendor data, rates, etc.

Collaborate with Purchasing Coordinator to ensure accurate inventory transactions posting

Review inventory discrepancies with the Purchasing Coordinator on a monthly basis and adjust the system data accordingly 

Run monthly/quarterly usage reports as requested by Managers and Directors



Clean driver record

Willing to travel throughout the five NYC boroughs

Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs

Valid drivers license

Available Car

Education and Work Experience:

Previous supply chain management experience: 2+ years overseeing inventory purchase and procurement

College Candidate or Degree preferred

Proficiency in Excel and Office Suite

Proficiency in database management

Knowledge of NetSuite database preferred
