American Airpower Museum's WWII Arsenal of Democracy Air Demonstrations

In observance of Memorial Day Weekend, American Airpower Museum (AAM) continues their historic participation in the Jones Beach Air Show, flying their fabled "Arsenal of Democracy" warbirds over Jones Beach on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29!  AAM’s fleet of iconic and meticulously restored military aircraft will include a B-25 Mitchell Bomber, Douglas C-47 Skytrain troop transporter, Grumman TBM Avenger Torpedo Bomber, P-51D Mustang Fighter, Curtiss P-40 Warhawk Fighter, and two AT-6 Texan Trainers.  Two FA-18 Super Hornet Growlers will be in attendance, subject to other military commitments.  AAM’s WWII aircraft will also have a practice fly day Friday, May 27.

If you can't make it to Jones Beach for the Air Show, get a glimpse of these awe-inspiring aircraft as they take off towards Jones Beach, and later as they return to Hangar 3 at Republic Airport on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, or watch them practice in preparation for the show on Friday, May 27. You can park for FREE in AAM’s lot and along New Highway!  Bring the family, hang out all day, and watch exciting warbirds in action each day!  Watch the pilots start their engines, taxi and lift off, performing exciting flybys with Republic Air Traffic Control permission, before leaving to join the Jones Beach Air Show.

Hangar 3 opens at 10:00 a.m.  Arrive there early, park your car, sign in and pay to enjoy the exhibits, if you choose. There is no charge to watch the aircraft on the practice day or on show days.

Museum admission for Adults is $20, Seniors & Veterans $15 and Children 5-12 $10.  Tickets and pre-registration are not required and admission is on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all three days.  Don’t miss this one!  Three days of action to thrill aviation fans of all ages!
