God's Love We Deliver is introducing a new service, Connected: the Food and Nutrition Service for US Military Veterans living with a Mental Health and/or Substance Use Challenge.  This service provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition counseling, and trauma-informed care to NYC veterans living with activities of daily living (ADL) limitations and one or more of the following diagnoses: PTSD, anxiety disorder, major depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, and/or substance use disorder.

Each week, enrolled veterans will receive 10 meals that are medically-tailored to meet needs specific to their mental health and/or substance use challenge.  They will also receive nutrition assessments and unlimited nutrition counseling.  Meals are also available to qualifying members of the veteran's household, including caregivers and dependent children under the aga of 18.  Because celebration is an important part of a healthy life, the service also includes holiday meals like a feast on Thanksgiving and for winter holidays, and a birthday cake each year.
