Unique People Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals.  Salary is $16.30 per hour.  Workforce 1 is currently screening candidates for this position.

Unique People Services works with HIV/AIDS patients, substance abusers, developmentally disabled, the homeless and the mentally ill:

to provide housing and comprehensive support services designed to meet the physical, social and emotional needs of each individual

to help those whose needs have been neglected or whose circumstances have prevented use of existing services

to promote greater public understanding of the unmet needs of individuals with special needs

Job description:

Assist and motivate individuals to tend to their personal daily living needs and to further develop those vocational, nutritional, social, and personal skills necessary to maintain or achieve the highest possible level of independent functioning in the least restrictive environment

Job qualifications:

High School / GED

Candidates must have a valid NYS driver license

one year of DSP experience is preferred but not required.

Candidates must also have a recent physical with the last 6 months.
