Jewish War Veterans Post 1 - Manhattan, NY and the Mayerson JCC will host a Veterans Day weekend event on “The Jewish Experience in the United States Armed Services” at the Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center, 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street, at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 13. All participants will be Jewish veterans including the main speaker Rear Admiral (SEAL) Alexander Krongard (US Navy, Retired), former Deputy Commander of US Africa Command and founding commander of SEAL Team 7.
Moderating the discussion will be LT Morgan Hitzig, US Navy Reserve, Operations & Growth Strategy at Peregrine Technologies. Other participants will include former Naval Intelligence Officer Marc Wolf, the Chief Development Officer of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York; Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. National Commander Colonel Nelson Mellitz (US Air Force, Retired); and Master of Ceremonies Colonel Joshua Lubarsky (US Army Reserve) a leader in JWV Post 1. JWV Post 1 is the oldest veterans echelon in the United States founded in 1896!
