The Mission Continues Newark Platoon presents a Christmas Social on December 19, 5-9pm. Join them to celebrate their accomplishments for 2020. This will be a Christmas themed social, but you do not have to celebrate the holiday to attend.

SAGEVets and the New York State Division of Veterans' Services (NYSDVS) bring you a two-part virtual program addressing the history of discrimination in the U.S. military against LGBT service members and the remarkable evolution we have seen since the ending of DADT (Don't Ask Don't Tell). Join them on December 22, 6-7:30pm (EST) for part two of this revolutionary program, when they celebrate the 10th anniversary marking the end of DADT.

St. Nicks Alliance Workforce Development presents an Info Session for the Construction Skills Training Program on Wednesdays at 1pm (EST).
Want the skills to build a career in construction? Do you have construction skills and need work? Learn about their 7-week training program. Veterans are welcome to join. Priority preference to residents in Brooklyn Community Boards 1, 3, and 4.

Apply by January 6 to the Veterans Entrepreneurship Training I (VET-I) program at NYU Tandon Veterans Future Lab! The NO-COST, online, 12-week program is for those with military ties past and present looking to transition into entrepreneurship or learn the skills needed to start their own venture. The program runs January 27 - April 14, 2021.
The VET-I Spring 2021 program will be held online.
The program is split into three parts:
- Week 1: Onboarding
- Weeks 2–11: Class lectures from 6–8pm (EST) on Wednesdays.
- Week 12: Showcase of participants’ capstone projects to partners of the Veterans Future Lab community. The capstone provides participants with their first real-world, consequential experience presenting their business ideas.
Classes touch on prototyping, customer channels, business models, legal and accounting matters for startups, and more. Upon completion of the program, students are awarded a VET certificate from the NYU Tandon Future Labs.
