    Virtual Women Veteran Discussion Circle

    The Multi-Faith Veteran Initiative presents a series of online, round table discussion groups to speak truth and share your stories. The next session for women veterans is November 18, 7-9pm (EST).

    Hiring Our Heroes AMPLIFY Spouse Intensive

    Join Hiring Our Heroes for the two-day virtual AMPLIFY Spouse Career Intensive on November 19, 8:30am-3:45pm (EST) and November 20, 8:30am-1:45pm (EST). The event lead a cohort of military spouses through intensive career preparation, professional development, and networking. AMPLIFY attendees will leave with an improved resume, a professional photo, a polished LinkedIn profile, and a professional network of fellow military spouses and employers.

    Attendees will be given the opportunity to:

    • Connect with a hand-picked career coach or industry leader
    • Participate in interactive sessions on public/professional speaking, salary negotiations, networking skills, personal branding, interview techniques, and military spouse entrepreneurial options
    • Interact with local and national employers and companies

    Registration is required as cohort size is limited to ensure each attendee is given one-on-one attention. Registrants will be notified of acceptance into the program and given further instructions via email following initial registration. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis.

    MOAA Career Transition for Attorneys

    The Military Officers Association of America presents Career Transition and Advancement for Attorneys webinar on November 19, 2-3pm (EST).

    MOAA and the National Bar Association have teamed together to assemble a panel of veterans from private practice, academia, corporate, and nontraditional sectors who have skillfully navigated their legal careers. Many of the panelists are former or retired judge advocates, and all have first-hand knowledge of articulating your value to potential employers. They are ready to share key insights about their experience and help you grow your network, target your job search, and find employment opportunities that are right for you.

    Bunker vConnect Event Series

    Join Bunker Labs for the Bunker vConnect Event Series with guest JJ Pinter, Deputy Director at Team RWB, on November 19, 3pm (EST). The Bunker vConnect event series is the adaptation of the in-person facilitated networking program, Bunker Connect, piloted by Bunker Labs and the Schultz Family Foundation, where 90% of attendees made meaningful connections.

    Finding a good mentor can be tough and networking is often a chore. Why not try something different that’s fun, effective, and benefits the military-connected community? Grow your network and help others do the same.

    TRR Train the Trainers Workshop

    Attend TRR's Train the Trainers Yoga for Military Moral Injury© Repair Workshop on November 21, 2-5pm (EST). This training will focus on the repair of Moral Injury in a military population. 

    Many veterans are struggling with Military Moral Injury and not PTSD. Join TRR and they will show you how to see the difference and what to do. This workshop is a virtual experience due to Covid-19. They will teach how to engage military veterans and first responders – as a group – to address the challenges of service, and to repair relationships with family and community by focusing on Military Moral Injury repair on the yoga mat.

    Travis Manion Foundation Virtual Character Discussions

    Travis Manion Foundation offers a Virtual Character Discussion (for 6th to 12th graders) on December 2, 3pm (EST). TMF's Northeast team offers opportunities for your child to participate in conversations about character, service and leadership through both guided discussions and story readings.

    Character Does Matter strengthens character and leadership skills in young adults. Grounded in the evidence-based field of Positive Psychology, the program uses a strengths-based approach to foster character traits in the next generation through a combination of informal discussions and activity-based learning. By sharing stories of real people who exemplify great character and leadership, Character Does Matter demonstrates what it means to live the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos – and challenges students to do the same.
