    Warrior Writers Virtual Workshop

Attend the Warrior Writers Virtual Workshop on September 9, 7-9pm (EST). This generative creative writing workshop will offer prompts that cover a variety of military issues and experiences. This encourages sharing stories, opinions, and ideas for productive writing/reflecting/story-telling and art-making. A highlight of these workshops for many veterans is having a space to release bottled-up thoughts and emotions among others who understand, creating a sense of empowerment in the ability to tell their own story. By creating an open and accepting atmosphere, Warrior Writers build a community of support. Workshops are for any service member or veteran regardless of experiences with writing, combat, art, deployment, etc.

Register here. This class is led by Warrior Writers poet/playwright/actor Jeff Key, based between New Orleans and LA.

    Team RWB 9/11 Moving Tribute

On September 11, 2001, our country changed forever. Thousands of Americans lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 and in the years following the attacks. The event also changed our military community forever, launching the longest war our nation has ever faced.

For many Team RWB Eagles, September 11 defined their military service or was the reason they chose to enlist. That’s why Team RWB is hosting a moving tribute to preserve the memory and support the veterans who served as a result of 9/11. In communities across the nation, veterans and supporters will move their American flags a cumulative 8,426 miles – a tribute to the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001 and the 5,449 service members killed in action in the wars following – and share stories along the way.

Register with Team RWB to pledge your miles and share the names of those you are running for during the 9/11 Moving Tribute on September 11. You can participate by joining your local chapter for an in-person event they may host, or you can join virtually.
