Attend TRR's Train the Trainers Military Moral Injury© Repair and EMDR Workshop on November 6, 2-5pm (EST). This training will focus on the repair of Moral Injury in a military population.
They will explain the difference between PTSD, Complex PTSD and Moral Injury from the perspective that Moral Injury is not part of PTSD and is therefore not a disorder. It is repairable, however. And the way that they repair Military Moral Injury during EMDR processing, requires an adjustment in the physical set up between client and therapist, the choice of BLS, and the assessment of negative cognitions.

VetsInTech presents their Veterans Day Virtual Gala 2020 on November 6, 9-10:30pm (EST). The Virtual Gala 2020 is aimed at raising much-needed scholarship funds to provide technology training, education, and employment programs at no cost to veterans and military spouses. This is only possible through the generous donations and support of sponsors and individuals who are dedicated to providing veterans with the opportunities they deserve.

Plus an interactive game show - "VetsinTech Hollywood Squares: Battle of the Branches" that pits different branches of the military against each other in a friendly trivia contest.

The Warrior-Scholar Project offers an online Community College Success Workshop for Veterans on October 16, 11am-3pm (EST). This is a free, online one-day seminar for veterans attending community college. Come learn the skills you need to analyze complex academic texts and strategies for successful note-taking, time management, and assimilation into academic culture with fellow veterans.
There will be a Q&A with highly successful WSP alumni who have attended community college and are now currently enrolled in four-year universities.
Participate in the 13th Annual Long Island Run For The Warriors virtually on November 7. Hope For The Warriors is a trusted national nonprofit organization that restores self, family, and hope to service members, their families, and families of the fallen through comprehensive case management and many programs. The funds raised help Hope For The Warriors provide vital services through various programming in physical health and wellness as well as transition services and many more that are currently available. Virtual programming has been ongoing and has been especially helpful to the veteran community during this time.

Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) Operation Improv students have been learning the techniques of long-form, comedic improvisation for the past 8 weeks. Nothing is planned ahead of time, everything is made up on the spot! Join them for a hilarious 25-minute improv showcase on Zoom during their final class on November 7, 1:15-1:45pm.
