    Travis Manion Foundation Virtual Character Discussions

    Travis Manion Foundation offers a Virtual Character Discussion (for 6th to 12th graders) on November 11, 3pm (EST). TMF's Northeast team offers opportunities for your child to participate in conversations about character, service and leadership through both guided discussions and story readings.

    Character Does Matter strengthens character and leadership skills in young adults. Grounded in the evidence-based field of Positive Psychology, the program uses a strengths-based approach to foster character traits in the next generation through a combination of informal discussions and activity-based learning. By sharing stories of real people who exemplify great character and leadership, Character Does Matter demonstrates what it means to live the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos – and challenges students to do the same.

    AITAF Veterans Day The Reel Thing

    Arts in the Armed Forces presents The Reel Thing: A Virtual Veterans Day Benefit Movie Night and Q&A on November 11, 8pm (EST), followed by a Movie Trivia contest. Enjoy Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.

    Minority Vets Equity, Inclusion, & Justice Summit

    The Minority Vets Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Summit is a full-day experience on November 12, 10am-9pm (EST), delving into the intersections of the minority veteran identity and the key issues that impact our worlds and lived experiences the most. The day will feature lectures, panels, fireside chats, lightning talks and live performances by minority veterans and lead activists, artists, experts, and legislators. Come explore, in-depth, the experiences of veterans who’ve existed on the margins of the traditional military veteran archetype and our intersections with poverty, the justice system, corporate culture, public policy, and more. 

    In addition to educational and artistic material, the Summit will feature a live recruitment, hiring, and resource fair for minority vets seeking employment and services. 

    Registration is free and open to all. The recording of the event will be available for viewing up to 30 days after the event.

    Hiring Our Heroes AMPLIFY Spouse Intensive

    Join Hiring Our Heroes for the two-day virtual AMPLIFY Spouse Career Intensive on November 19, 8:30am-3:45pm (EST) and November 20, 8:30am-1:45pm (EST). The event lead a cohort of military spouses through intensive career preparation, professional development, and networking. AMPLIFY attendees will leave with an improved resume, a professional photo, a polished LinkedIn profile, and a professional network of fellow military spouses and employers.

    Attendees will be given the opportunity to:

    • Connect with a hand-picked career coach or industry leader
    • Participate in interactive sessions on public/professional speaking, salary negotiations, networking skills, personal branding, interview techniques, and military spouse entrepreneurial options
    • Interact with local and national employers and companies

    Registration is required as cohort size is limited to ensure each attendee is given one-on-one attention. Registrants will be notified of acceptance into the program and given further instructions via email following initial registration. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis.

    The Military Officers Association of America presents Career Transition and Advancement for Attorneys webinar on November 19, 2-3pm (EST).

    Bunker vConnect Event Series
