The Mission Continues is invited to walk in this year’s NYC Pride March with partners at the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) on June 30, 12-7pm. The NPCA protects and enhances America's National Park System for present and future generations and was helpful in designating Stonewall Inn as a National Historic Landmark. There are unlimited spots so if you have any friends or family that would like to join, they’re more than welcome to march.
Lineup is in Midtown at 3pm - however, you must stop by the NPCA office from 12-2pm to pick up mandatory wristbands, tee-shirts, marching signs, and flags. The first 75 people that pick up wristbands will receive special #PrideandHonor The Mission Continues shirts.

Operation Warrior Shield hosts an event called Help to Stop the Epidemic of Veteran-Military Suicide on June 30, 3-7pm.
Speakers include: Borough President Eric Adams, Councilman Chaim Deutsch, and Bob Roth, CEO David Lynch Foundation. Enjoy entertainment from America’s Tenor Daniel Rodriguez and the Highland Divas, with dinner and refreshments plus a silent auction.

Operation Warrior Shield provides comprehensive programs for veterans, military and first responders, which includes training in the non-religious modality of transcendental meditation (TM) and The VetWell Program techniques to help in healing the “hidden wounds," to assist veterans in employment efforts and to work towards ending veteran homelessness. Also available for those who
wish to manage their stressful life.

Participate in the Annual Rolling Thunder 3-Boro Run, honoring Frankie “Towkar” Appice, on July 28. The event will support Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and local vets.
Sign in begins at 9:30am in Staten Island. Kickstands go up at noon, heading to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Manhattan. Bikes will be fully escorted to and from the Memorial.
Your donation includes breakfast, a free pin, lunch, and entry to a family-friendly after party hosted by the Marine Corps League at 46 Ontario Ave, Staten Island (beginning at 1pm).
Rolling Thunder is a volunteer organization. Each member’s diligence and dedication enables us to support those who have served our country. Our veterans gave to us, help us give back to them.

The VA, Fordham University, and the Syracuse University Institute of Veterans and Families are enabling a day of Veteran Cultural Competence Training on November 12, 9-5pm.
