On 11/09/2022 the NYC Department of Veterans' Services and American Red Cross will host "A Living Tribute Celebrating Women Who Serve America" in Central Park's NYC Women's Veterans Grove (entry at 69th Street and 5th Avenue) at 11 AM.

The NYC Department of Veterans’ Services, American Red Cross, and other Veteran advocates and partners will be holding a ceremony to celebrate women of service on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Overseas Service League Flagstaff and Grove in Central Park. The nearest entrance is located at 69th St an 5th Avenue.

In 1925, a Central Park memorial grove of 24 trees and flagstaff was conceptualized for a tribute to American women who were enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces in the First World War. Today, this grove remains an important tribute to women of service in NYC.

This ceremony will be held to honor the women who have exemplified the best this country has to offer.

This is an outdoor event that is open to the public and free of charge.
