The America's 9/11 Ride is about remembering the Heroes, Volunteers and Victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and since. The ride raises funds to allow for scholarships for the children of first responders.
Our Long Island stage will be kicking off on Thursday (Aug 18) morning leaving the Floral Park Fire Dept at 5:30am, grabbing breakfast in New Jersey and then checking in for the ride, then a wonderful all day ride thru Pennsylvania, as we head to Shanksville, PA. We'll stay for the night, meeting riders from all over the nation, and there are evening visits and tours to the flight 93 Memorial and chapel, if you're interested.
The ride officially kicks off Friday morning (Aug 19), we’ll ride past the flight 93 Memorial on our way to Virginia through towns such as Cumberland and Leesburg, then Friday night we stay in Arlington, across from the Pentagon. Saturday morning (Aug 20), we make our way back to NYC, have lunch at Barb’s Harley, dinner at Applebee’s in New Jersey, and Sunday morning (Aug 21) we ride down to the World Trade Center Memorial and pay our respects and remember those we lost.
Lunch is included on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. Dinner is included on Saturday. Tolls are included after you’re signed in and receive an arm band.
This is the best organized 9/11 Memorial ride in America. Please visit the website www.Americas911ride.org to register for the ride and also to find hotel accommodations.
