The 9/11 Memorial and Museum presents American Diplomacy in a Post-9/11 Era on October 7, 7-8:30pm. Diplomacy has long been an essential tool in the American national security playbook, and this proved to be especially true in the aftermath of 9/11. Today, a new era of diplomacy poses fresh challenges for American diplomats. Ronald E. Neumann of the American Academy of Diplomacy, Gérard Araud, former Ambassador of France to the U.S. (2014–2019), and Peter Ammon, former Ambassador of Germany to the U.S. (2011–2014), discuss the future of American diplomacy.
