Aquila Theatre's Warrior Chorus will present scenes from ancient works alongside modern works by veterans and those within the veteran community on April 3, 7:30-9pm. Themes and works explored are: Homer’s Odyssey and what it means to come home from war; Aeschylus’ Suppliants and the effects of war on civilians who are forced to flee their homes; the work of Thucydides and thoughts on democracy.
The Warrior Chorus is a national public program run by Aquila Theatre and supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and New York State Council for the Arts.
