Battle for Manhattan Ruck March

Commemorate the Battle of Fort Washington and other Revolutionary War history in Manhattan on the anniversary of the battle!

Following the Battle of Brooklyn in August 1776, battles were waged in Manhattan to defend our young nation, including the Battle of Harlem Heights and Battle of Fort Washington. Meet us at the iconic Soldiers Sailors Monument for a morning of reflection and exploration of historic sites in upper Manhattan, ending at Fort Tryon Park and the commemoration of the Battle of Fort Washington, which took place on November 16, 1776, and where Margaret Corbin bravely fired the final cannon shots of the battle before she fell to severe injuries.

Route is approximately 9 miles.
