Veterans Day Events November 11th 2022
Breakfast at LaFontana and Annual Observance at Ocean View Cemetery
9:00AM: Breakfast for Veterans at La Fontana Restaurant, 2879 Amboy Road. Free to all Veterans and Military Personnel. Hosted by La Fontana Restaurant and Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 NY.
10:30AM: The ORIGINAL Veterans Day Observance at the WWI Monument, Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road. Join us to continue the tradition started by the SI WWI Barracks and brought forward by the VFW and now the United Staten Island Veterans Organization (USIVO).
Following the ceremony, we will walk to Frederick Douglass Cemetery to pay our respects to our friend and fellow veteran, Leon Wallace of the Richmond District 369th Veterans Association.
