CNAS Special Event: Military Food Insecurity and Financial Stability

Center for a New American Security (CNAS) will host Military Food Insecurity and Financial Stability, a virtual panel with key service providers, decision makers, and researchers addressing military family food insecurity and financial stability on Thursday, June 23, 12-1pm EDT.

Military family food insecurity and financial stability have garnered the attention of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Congress. Financial instability and food insecurity not only impact the daily lives of service members—they further have the potential to impact military readiness and recruitment. As DoD, the services, and Congress determine the way ahead, what factors should be considered?

Speakers include:

VADM William French, USN (Ret.), President and CEO, Armed Services YMCA

Dr. Jessica Strong, Co-Director of Applied Research, Blue Star Families

Katherine Kuzminski, Senior Fellow and Director of the Military, Veterans, and Society program at CNAS.
