Effective Ways to Increase Capacity & Access to Services

The Veterans Mental Health Coalition presents Partnerships: Effective Ways to Increase Capacity & Access to Services on April 21, 9am.

The impact of deployment and trauma-related stress not only affects many military members and veterans but also their families, including wives, children, adult dependents and others who may provide support. Civilian and military health care systems that treat veterans and their family members separately have inhibited access to treatment for service members, veterans and their families. Public-private partnerships, and other types of collaborative relationships, offer a potential solution for improving access and enhancing the standard of care for veterans and their families, as well as providing additional benefits to organizations that engage in these collaborative relationships.

You will learn answers to these questions:

  • Why these organizations chose to engage with other agencies and institutions
  • The criteria they used to identify prospective partners
  • The results they've achieved
  • The lessons learned along the way
