Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum presents a dance/movement workshop for veterans and a guest from Exit12 Dance Company on October 29, 4-6pm. No experience needed.

Movement to Contact engages veterans and their families in creativity and community building through the art of choreography and movement. Veterans and their families will move alongside Exit12 Dance Company artists, who are also veterans and veteran family members, to create choreography using their own stories and experiences as inspiration.

Workshop leader Roman Baca is a veteran, dance artist and choreographer. In 2001, recognizing his desire to defend the vulnerable, he took a hiatus from dance and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving as a machine gunner and fire team leader in Fallujah, Iraq during the Iraq War.
