The Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York and Fraunces Tavern will celebrate the 240th anniversary of the adoption of the American flag on June 14, 12pm. A parade kicks off at City Hall and ends at Fraunces Tavern at the corner of Broad and Pearl Streets with a ceremony, songs performed by schoolchildren, proclamations, and recitations honoring Old Glory. The parade will also feature hundreds of New York City schoolchildren, color guards from the Armed Forces, contingents from the New York City Fire and Sanitation Departments, and many of the City’s oldest historical and patriotic societies.
