Free Maritime STEM Classes with BSF and the Museum of Maritime Navigation and Communication

Blue Star Families and the Museum of Maritime Navigation and Communication will host a free STEM class at the Coast Guard Housing Family Meeting Center in Staten Island on Saturday, February 12, 10:00-11:30am.

Join the Staten Island Museum of Maritime Navigation and Communication for 4 weeks of engaging STEM classes focused on the waters that surround us. Classes will include hands on learning and crafts including making your own Compass, Nautical Charts, learning to tie knots and the basics of Morse Code. You will also explore the history of Staten Island Lighthouses, Katherine Walker and the waters that surround us. Sign up for one or all four classes! Classes are geared to ages 6-13. Parents do not need be present. All attendees over the age of 18 must be vaccinated and all must wear a mask while in the building.
