Sidiki Conde, Guinean Master Drummer & NEA National Heritage Fellow
Sidiki Conde is a dancer, drummer, and singer from Guinea, West Africa, who despite losing the use of his legs when he was 14, followed his dream to become a dancer. Through The Center for Traditional Music and Dance’s Messages of Hope workshops, Sidiki has taught drumming to Veterans at the Bronx & Harlem Vet Centers. Sidiki is also a member of the Bronx Arts Based Healing Coalition formed by Bronx VA’s Community Engagement & Partnerships Coordinator for Suicide Prevention.
